It’s week 53, the final week of adventure to return home, of Stevie Wander’s year-long journey on the Hippie Trail from 50-years ago.  It’s been a fabulous journey through 26 countries all-told, but our wandering hero is anxious to get back home to friends and family.  Stevie spends a few days in Amsterdam, partying and enjoying his final moments in Europe.  What a groovy time it has been!  Stevie boards a plane to New York City.  From there he hops on a greyhound bus that takes him to Detroit City.  He walks the final mile to his home and family in Oak Park, Michigan.  The Hippie Trail Journey has left a deep impress on his soul. 

Co-author Steve Reifman celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ultimate hippy trail journey. His adventure, the inspiration for the book Wanderer co-written with F.T. Burke, took him across four continents through 26 countries in 1970-1971.
