The unique once-in-a-lifetime adventure continues from fifty years ago. Our nomadic wanderer is in his 17^th week of wandering as he completes week #4 at the Kibbutz.  Every day is a new adventure at the communal settlement.  In between keeping up with his daily chores such as working in the cow barn, “Stevie Wander” is itching to get back on the road.  He receives letters from home and writes aerograms to family members, attends a wild boar roast, enjoys solitude from roommates, mixed in with a little melancholy as he ponders—“Home away from home is not really home!”

Co-author Steve Reifman celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ultimate hippy trail journey. His adventure, the inspiration for the book Wanderer co-written with F.T. Burke, took him across four continents through 26 countries in 1970-1971. Now, on the Golden Anniversary of his adventure, Steve Reifman – or “Stevie Wander,” as he likes to be called – tells the true tales behind the story.
