The Wanderer Weekly continues in Week #13 as the hippy from fifty years ago, “Stevie Wander” spends a week in Rome. He says his final goodbye to his traveling companion, Nancy. It wasn’t easy or fun at times. But they made it across the journey of North Africa and onto Sicily and Italy and finally up to Rome. Our intrepid wanderer looks forward to the freedom of being alone, unhitched to anyone. The week concludes with a flight to Israel and plans to join a Kibbutz for the winter months. Come hear about the fantastic journey of a lifetime on the way to the famed hippie trail.
Co-author Steve Reifman celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ultimate hippy trail journey. His adventure, the inspiration for the book Wanderer co-written with F.T. Burke, took him across four continents through 26 countries in 1970-1971. Now, on the Golden Anniversary of his adventure, Steve Reifman – or “Stevie Wander,” as he likes to be called – tells the true tales behind the story.
